Conclusion.
The objective of this experiment was to test on various solar ovens to determine which model is most effective in melting chocolate. After several tests, a conclusion was made that Model 2 was able to reach the highest temperature. However, after averaging out all the tests on each model, both Models 2 & 3 ended up with the same value. My hypothesis was false as Models 2 & 3 achieved higher results in the experiment. All control variables stated, remained controlled and lead to a successful experiment.
Some difficulties experienced during the experiment include
- Wind
While conducting this experiment the weather was warm but windy, this made it difficult to keep the ovens from being blown away. This also may account for any inaccuracy in temperatures, as there was constantly a cool breeze.
- Materials
When creating the solar ovens, I was unable to find the exact form of boxes specified in the experiment, this resulted in me using shoe boxes as it was ideal and easy to find.
